Honeylove Silhouette Bra
$64 at Bloomingdale’s Good for: Everyday wear
Sizes available: XS–3X
Colorways available: Four
- Pros: Convertible straps, adjustable band and straps, soft, smoothing
- Cons: Not the best for lifting
Daisy Maldonado, associate shopping editor
Daisy MaldonadoI’m wearing the Silhouette Bra under a basic tee. I like how seamless it looks under but noticed the dark color was a bit visible. Out of all three bras I tested, I’d say this one was my favorite. I love how lightweight this bra is and the detailing on the bra itself. As a 36C band, the support level was juuust right. I didn’t feel constricted nor did I feel uncomfortable wearing this for hours on end. It’s also a bonus that I could wear this bra under V-neck tops without it poking out and becoming visible.
Beth Gillette, beauty editor
Beth GiletteBeth is wearing the Silhouette bra under a basic tee. She likes how seamless it is under her clothes and the lift it provided. “I’m used to bras shifting throughout the day and digging into my sides and back,” says Beth. “But I’ve been wearing this one for the last 10 hours and barely noticed I’ve had anything on. Like, I’m used to going braless practically every day (sry, mom), so when I do wear one, I can always tell. But I love how soft this feels against my skin. Plus, it looks so smooth under a white T-shirt.”
Corinne Sullivan, editor
Corinne SullivanCorinne is wearing the Silhouette Bra under a basic tee. She likes how comfy it feels while also showing no visible lines. “This one is my fave of the bunch,” notes Corinne. “It is so comfy, provides a nice shape with the molded cups, and looks seamless under a T-shirt. It doesn’t provide any lift, but I hadn’t really expected it to. I usually like a slightly thicker strap, but these really don’t dig or slip at all.”
The Crossover Bra
Honeylove CrossOver Wireless Bra
$34 at Walmart$69 at Nordstrom$69 at Bloomingdale’s Good for: Quick errand trips, office days
Sizes available: XS–3X
Colorways available: Five
- Pros: Adjustable band and straps, four hook settings, smoothing cups, supportive
- Cons: Stiff material, one editor experienced chafing in the underarms
Daisy Maldonado, associate shopping editor
Daisy MaldonadoI’m wearing the Crossover bra under a basic tee. I like how soft it feels while also providing a subtle lift. This was the first Honeylove bra I tried on, and I instantly knew this was different from other bras in my lineup. The first thing I noticed was the mesh detail, I loved that this made it feel like an actual intimate. The fabric was smooth and soft so I was excited to put it on. Immediately, it was way more comfortable and supportive than I would have thought. However, after a day at the office, an event, and a long commute home, I began to notice that the sides underneath my armpit where the fabric hit were feeling a bit irritated. I chalked this up to be a result of the material itself, which is a bit thick. Overall, I’m definitely looking forward to wearing this bra more regularly and I’ll just be a bit mindful so as to not wear it when I’ll be out all day.
Beth Gillette, beauty editor
Beth GilletteBeth is wearing the Crossover bra under a basic tee. She likes how supportive and seamless it is even without the bra cups. “I absolutely despise bra cups, so when I saw ‘removable bra cups,’ I was sold,” says beauty editor Beth Gilette. “It turns out that these aren’t the usual ones that get all jumbled and create weird bulges all over my chest. At first, I didn’t even remove them. Extremely shocking for me!! But I just loved how soft this felt, while still being totally supportive, without any wires needed.”
Corinne Sullivan, editor
Corinne SullivanCorinne is wearing the Crossover bra under a basic tee. She likes how lightweight it feels but noticed it didn’t fully conform to her body due to its stiff material. “The peekaboo mesh was a nice touch to provide a little more coverage but still feel
sexy,” says editor Corinne Sullivan. “I wish it provided a bit more separation, but it did give a nice lil lift. I loved the comfy, lightweight feel, but I felt like the fabric in the back and sides were a bit stiff, as it didn’t fully form to my body.”
The V-neck Bra
Honeylove V-Neck Bra
$64 at Nordstrom Good for: Lounging
Sizes available: XS–3X
Colorways available: Four
- Pros: Smoothing, supportive, comfortable
- Cons: Sizing is hard to figure out according to some customer reviews, no adjustable straps, no hook-and-eye closure
Daisy Maldonado, associate shopping editor
Daisy MaldonadoI’m wearing the V-neck bra under a basic tee. I like how smooth it looks under my clothes and the lift it gives me. This bra is soooo comfy. Honestly, I could wear this for hours on end without ever complaining, it’s that good! The shape and feel of it is so nice and I love how seamless it looks under my clothes. It really gives that lift without making me feel uncomfortable. I was so comfy in it, I even wore it to sleep! As someone who immediately peels off their bra the second they get in the door (when I’m even wearing a bra that is!), that’s saying something.
Beth Gillette, beauty editor
Beth GilletteBeth is wearing the V-neck bra under a cropped basic tee. She likes the lift and secure feel it gave her. “The lift this bra gave me is next-level,” explains Beth. “Seriously, it kept everything in position all day long. But!!! That doesn’t mean it was uncomfortable or my boobs were spilling out either. I wore this with a sweater and felt really secure. The true test of comfort though? After a full day (at the Timothée Chalamet lookalike competition, no less), I came home and didn’t feel the need to immediately peel this off my bed. I actually napped in it. Like what!!! Unreal levels of comfort.”
Corinne Sullivan, editor
Corinne SullivanCorinne is wearing the V-neck bra under a basic tee. She likes the smoothing and supportive feel of it. “This one felt as comfy as my favorite bralette while offering much better shape and support,” notes Corinne. “I love the thick straps, molded cups, and smoothing fabric, though I’d probably prefer a hook-and-eye closure in the back just for ease of getting on and off.”
Our thoughts on…
The quality
At around $64 each, these bras aren’t by any means cheap. They’re def some of the pricier items in my intimates drawer. That being said, the stretchy and soft material makes it easy to see why. Most Honeylove bras are made from a combination of spandex and nylon, which give them their soft and stretchy touch.
In order to get the most out of your bras, Honeylove also recommends you handwash them instead of throwing them in the washer—as one typically should with all bras anyway. I’ve handwashed all of my Honeylove bras a handful of times and found that they look just as pristine as they did when I first got them. This is already a big jump from the bras I have from other brands that seem to loosen or fade in color after handwashing them regularly.
The fit
Since these aren’t in the typical band and cup size format, Honeylove bra sizing can be a bit difficult to navigate. After looking at the brand’s size chart, I was able to find my size with no issue, as were Beth and Corinne. None of us felt or found any issue with the sizes we chose and felt confident we selected accordingly. It should be noted that Honeylove recommends sizing up if you’re in between band or cup sizes.
The bottom line
Overall, I think it’s safe to say that two self-proclaimed bra haters (alongside a bra sympathizer) definitely met their match with Honeylove. Trust me, they’ve already gotten way more wear than my other bras. We found these bras to be significantly more comfortable than most. The crowd favorite amongst our editors is for sure the Silhouette bra for its versatile look and supportive feel. Since it has adjustable straps, we found this to be a plus as well. Having worn all three of these bras with a variety of different tops and dresses, I can confirm that Honeylove has mastered how to make these look as seamless as possible. TL;DR: When it comes to feel, fit, and quality, Honeylove is 100 percent Cosmo-editor-approved.
